Xara Webstyle 2
Xara
Webstyle 2
Guide Rating -
Pros  • Easy to use
•  Can be up and producing basic web graphics in less than an hour
Cons  •  Can only use proprietary Webstyle templates
•  For the novice the tutorial doesn’t cover enough of the program
•  Most of the “themed” set of graphics are overdone and underwhelming
•  Windows only
The Bottom Line - Xara Webstyle is a convenient program if you need some easily constructed Web page objects, such as buttons, headings, borders, and navigation bars. It is limited by the use of proprietary format, which cannot import the standard JPEG or GIF files for modifications. Within its limitations, it can be used for quick web design and /or web prototyping.

Quick and Easy Web Graphics Components
Xara Webstyle version 2 is a quick and easy way to create such Web page items as buttons, navigation bars - they call them NavBars - headings, bullets, dividers, logos, banner ads, and backgrounds. It even includes "themed" sets of matching graphics for those who need an all inclusive "look" to their web page. The viewlet tutorial is helpful for simple designs, but does not include any help with some of the more advanced areas. Additionally, Webstyle uses a proprietary software for its templates, thus precluding the use of any original designs that are accessible in any other format.
