| Guide Review |

Photoshop Channel Chops
Photoshop Channel Chops (short for Channel Operations),
was first published in 1997, when Photoshop 4.0 was
out. Even so, most of the topics covered in the book
relate to features and tools that haven't changed
much in the last 5 years. The authors approach these
subjects in depth, but with enough humor to keep it
interesting. If you need a better understanding of
such essential Photoshop tasks as making selections,
masking, using blend modes, compositing, and working
with paths, this book covers it concisely. It's not
for beginnersyou'll need some familiarity with
Photoshop before going in. While some step-by-step
instruction is provided, it would be even better if
the files used in some of the examples were made available
to users. |
