| Guide Review |
 |
CorelDRAW 11: The Official Guide by Steve Bain
CorelDRAW 11 is an extremely robust application, so
it's no surprise that the Official Guide is a bulky,
800-page tome. It provides thorough coverage of DRAW's
tools, features, and commands, but has only a few
pages discussing R.A.V.E. and no coverage of PHOTO-PAINT.
Although the book does provide step-by-step exercises
for each item discussed, there is little to show the
reader how it all works together to create real-world
projects. The writing lacks personality, and as a
result, it reads like a reference manual. It's a bit
hard to stick with, but if you do, you'll no doubt
learn some new tricks, as I did. The book is for both
Windows and Macintosh users of CorelDRAW 11, but it's
distinctly biased to Windows in the screen shots and
keyboard shortcuts. |
