Introduction > PhotoImpact Prep > Batch Processing
To process a series of images in PhotoImpact we will use the Quick Command Panel and the Batch Task function. To view the Quick Command Panel, go to View -> Toolbars & Panels -> Quick Command Panel.
First
we'll record a task to rotate an image 90 degrees to the right,
then we'll use the batch task function to rotate a series of
images. Click the first button on the the command panel to bring
up the task command menu
and
choose New. Type a name for your task and then click the record
button.

Go to edit and choose the rotate command, then click the blue square stop button that now appears in the command panel. Now the new task will appear in the task drop down list.

To
apply this task to a folder of images click the Batch Task
button. The following dialog box will appear:
As you can see, you can choose any of the tasks in the command panel to run as a batch task. In the source section you can specify the folder of the source files, the file types, and whether or not you want to include subfolders. In the desitination section you can choose to leave the files open, save and close them, or save them to a specific folder. Now just click OK and sit back and watch while PhotoImpact does all the work for you!
Next learn how you can easily embellish your images to make them more memorable.
