sTile is freeware for creating seamless background tiles that can be used as desktop wallpaper or Web page backgrounds. The software includes over 50 different filters and effects. Existing images can be opened in the program to apply effects and make them seamless, or you can create the tiles from scratch. Harm's Tile can set an image as the current desktop wallpaper and preview tiles as Web backgrounds. The latest version allows a user-defined number of undos. Supported formats include BMP, JPEG, and GIF with options for controlling JPEG compression and setting GIF transparency. Freeware.
Author Description: sTile is a program designed to create 'Seamless Tiles'; small images that, when lined up adjacent with itself, makes a seamless pattern with no discernible borders. It can do other things, but that was (and still is) its primary purpose.
sTile was formerly known as HarmWave, Harm'sTile, Harm'sTile99, and sTile99.
