GTRipple from GarethWeb

I'm often asked what software is used to create those images reflected in rippling water that you frequently see on the Web. Technically, those images are not generated from software; the effect is achieved through the use of a Java Applet, most commonly The Lake Applet. However, I recently came across this freeware desktop enchancement that applies a similar effect to your desktop wallpaper. GTRipple is a single executable file that applies a rippling water effect to your desktop. Options allow you to conrol the frequency, height, amplitude, perspective, speed, and more. To learn more about Lake Applets used on the Web and to find free Java Applets, see the related information below.
