Fill Text With a Pattern in CorelDRAW 8 or higher

By Sue Chastain, About.com Guide

You can use a custom pattern as a fill for text and other objects in CorelDRAW.
Difficulty: Easy
Time Required: 2 minutes
Here's How:
  1. Select the type tool, click in your document and type some artistic text.
  2. Adjust the font and size as desired.
  3. With the text selected, choose the interactive fill tool.
  4. Set the fill type to Pattern Fill and click the edit fill button on the property bar.
  5. In the Pattern Fill dialog choose Bitmap.
  6. Choose a pattern from the swatch menu, or choose Load... to select a custom pattern from disk. You can use a pattern in any format supported by CorelDRAW.
  7. Click OK.
Tips:
  1. If the image you want to use as a fill is larger than the text (non-tiling), import the image and use the PowerClip feature instead.
