Graphics Challenge: Free for All

Monday November 9, 2009
This week's graphics challenge theme is Free for All. We have three starting images for you to take apart and manipulate however you wish. Use elements from all three to create something new. Use your imagination and have some fun with it!

The Rules of the Game:
Use your imagination to create an image based on this theme using any graphics software you like, then post your completed image in the discussion forum and please tell us a little bit about what software and techniques you used. This is a great way to experiment and learn from each other.

All levels of users are welcome to participate. You can submit as many versions based on the theme as you like. Remember to try and keep your image sizes to 800x600 pixels or less, and 100kb or less.

If you're not sure how to post images as attachments on the forum, see these instructions. If you have an image or theme idea for a future graphics challenge, please suggest them using the comments link below.

I was just reading your article on how to add your own patterns for filling a layer in Photoshop. It was really easy to understand, but my all my New Pattern or Reset Patterns option are grayed out and I can’t click on them. I was wondering if you had any idea how to change that. Thanks.

Julie: Please post your question in the discussion forum. That’s a better place to ask for help. http://forums.about.com/ab-graphicssoft/
