Adobe Lightroom Beta for Windows

By , About.com GuideJuly 19, 2006

Follow me on:

Adobe Lightroom is now available as a public beta version for the Windows platform. Lightroom professional photography software was unveiled earlier this year, but has previously only been available to beta-testers on the Macintosh platform.

Adobe is looking for both Windows and Macintosh users to assist in the development of Lightroom by downloading the free public beta and submitting feedback before the final shipping version is released in late 2006. It's not often you get a chance to have input on the development of new software from a major company like Adobe, so if you're a pro photographer, I encourage you to get in on this.

We’re releasing a preview build now so that you have plenty of time to give us feedback on what’s working for you, and what isn’t. Whether you choose the beta for Macintosh platform or the newly released Windows platform, your feedback is needed. Download now before the Lightroom beta 3 build expires January 30, 2007.
