Graphics Challenge: Postcards from Home
This week's graphics challenge theme is Postcards from Home. The idea is to create a postcard with features that you might see from where you live. If you'd prefer to remain anonymous, no problem. You can create a postcard from a 'pseudo' home if you like, or perhaps the town where you grew up. We sure would like to see images from where you live, but we'll leave that up to you.
Example image by Jennywren2: "I collected some illustrations of old sailing ships and pasted them onto an Illustrator sketch of the Cape Mudge lighthouse on Discovery Passage. I wanted a dream-scape that included a more romantic past and then I pasted the animals that still live there. So this is the past and present of where I live. Sort of..."
Create an image based on this theme using any graphics software you like. Then post your complete images as a reply in the discussion forum and tell us a little bit about what software and techniques you used. This is a great way to experiment and learn from each other.
All levels of users are welcome to participate. You can submit as many versions based on the theme as you like. Remember to try and keep your image sizes to 800x600 pixels or less, and 100kb or less.
If you're not sure how to post images as attachments on the forum, see these instructions. If you have an image or theme idea for a future graphics challenge, please suggest them using this form.
