Graphics Challenge: Black and White

This week's graphics challenge theme was suggested by Martrex, and is called Black and White. But don't let the name fool you. The idea is to take the image provided and, "see what this color photo world might come up with."

Download the starting image, create a new image using any software you like, then post your completed image in the discussion forum and tell us a little bit about what software and techniques you used.

All levels of users are welcome to participate. You can submit as many versions based on the theme as you like. Remember to try and keep your image sizes to 800x600 pixels or less, and 100 KB or less.
